Nowadays, with the advancement of technology and expansion in order to increase comfort and safety as well as manage energy consumption, the discussion of smartness in new buildings has received much attention. To increase the safety and efficiency of different systems, the communication between this equipment is done based on the KNX beam. In fact, the main interface between these components is the KNX cable.
What should we know about KNX cable?
KNX cable or TP1 in specialized terms, which is also known as smart cable; is another specialized product of Elektrosim Hedayat Company, which is produced under the brand name of Hedsun (HEDsun) This cable is available in two types, single pair, and double pair, for different purposes of smart building and BMS in the building.
Knx HEDSUN cable cover material in two types of foundation. P.V.C. and halogen free (HFFR). In the structure of the cable, the metal foil coating for each pair of wires and finally the entire cable causes the complete elimination of noise and environmental disturbance. After the approval of various laboratory stages by quality control experts, this product is supplied to the market in the form of 100-meter coils and 300-meter spools according to the customer’s order.
Technical Specifications
– KNX cable with PVC insulation according to BS 5308 standard
– Thermal range:
-5°C to +70°C in bent mode
In fixed installation C°-30 to C°+80
– Rated voltage:
0.5 to 1 U0/U=300/500 V
1.5 and higher U0/U=450/750 V
– Voltage test: 2500V a.c. 50Hz
Applications
HEDSUN’s KNX cables are used for building smartness and BMS. Due to the special construction of this cable, the impact of noise has been minimized and it can be used for transmitting data and weak signals in noisy environments. Some important and basic cases in the field of KNX cable applications in the field of smart home or building automation are briefly described below.
_ Temperature control
_ Lighting control
_ Electric curtains and other motorized equipment
_ Energy consumption management system
_ security system
_ Audio system (with full home coverage)
Audio-visual system
_ Interface (communication equipment between users and the system)
